The biggest and best fundraiser of the year for Hospice Georgian Triangle (HGT) is Fast Approaching.

Our largest fundraising event of the year is just one month away! On Sunday May 26th families, colleagues, friends and neighbours will be setting out from the Collingwood Curling Club to Hike or Bike for Hospice. They will be hiking, biking, pushing strollers, walking dogs, remembering loved ones and having a whole lot of fun.

In the past we have held separate Hike or Bike Events in our surrounding communities. But this year, for the first time, we are bringing everyone in South Georgian Bay together for one massive event! Hospice Georgian Triangle services Clearview, Collingwood, Wasaga Beach and the Blue Mountains, so let’s celebrate together.

The day starts and ends at the Collingwood Curling Club. A guided 6km hike will take place on the Collingwood Trails and along the shore of Georgian Bay. We will also have two guided bike rides; one is a 5km route ideal for families, the other is a 20km more suitable for adults. Pick your favourite way to get active and help raise much needed dollars along the way.

Lunch is provided to all participants by our community partners Sobeys and Boston Pizza. And the Collingwood Fire Department are our guest chefs! For a minimum donation of $20 per person, you too can take part! We will have music, entertainment for the kids, special guests manning the BBQ, plus outdoor activity. So we’ve got your fun filled family friendly day covered!

The registration desk opens at 9:30am at the Collingwood Curling Club. Be sure to check in so you can hand in any paper pledge forms you might have … and most importantly, get your lunch voucher! New this year, we have big prizes for the top fundraising team, and the top fundraising individual. So get your team together, sign up and start fundraising for this worthy cause! You can sign-up to participate or donate to the event online at

All money raised through this annual event will stay in our community, directly supporting individuals living with a life-limiting illness, and those who are caregiving or bereaved. This is an opportunity to get your family and friends together, Hike or Bike in memory of someone you love, and raise money through donations and pledges to support your local hospice - Campbell House. Help us to continue to provide the highest quality palliative care to anyone in our community who needs it, not only at end of life but throughout the disease journey.

We look forward to seeing everyone in Collingwood on Sunday May 26th, 2019. And if you can’t attend the event, please consider still donating to this amazing cause.

P.S. Don’t forget your helmets and refillable drinking containers!
