Help Animals in Need at the Friends for Life! Walkathon
The Georgian Triangle Humane Society would love to see you and your furry friends join them on Sunday, September 23rd, 2018 for the 6th annual Friends for Life! Walk™. It’s time to put on your walking shoes!
More than just a fundraiser, the Friends for Life! Walk is a fun-filled day that offers something for everyone. Individuals, teams and families are encouraged to register for a 3k/5k loop. Children under the age of 12 walk for free. Registration is open to everyone, even those without a dog. Come with, or without, your four-legged friend!
Highlights of the Georgian Triangle Humane Society’s event, taking place at the Blue Mountain Village, include the Paw Patrol favourites on-site, face painting, a costume look-a-like contest and so much more! It’s the purr-fect way to spend a day with friends and family who share a love of animals.
“The GTHS receives no government funding and relies solely on donations and fundraising activities like the Walkathon to support abandoned, neglected and abused domestic animals in the Georgian Triangle area.” says Monika Merz, Walkathon Committee Chair. “We are grateful for the support from our title and community sponsors, our volunteers and for the many participants who will help us surpass our Walkathon goal.”
The Georgian Triangle Humane Society is thankful to its Paw Sponsors for all of their support: Ontario SPCA, Boehringer Ingelheim, CIBC Collingwood, Mullin’s Pet Market, and Huronia Alarm and Fire Security. And a special thanks to Station Sponsors: The Municipality of Meaford and The Town of Collingwood.
