Well, I did it...may not seem like a big deal but it was for me...my Grandma Kenyon would be very proud of me...I attended the Robbie Burns dinner at Collingwood Legion on Saturday evening and ATE HAGGIS! It was a great event...In all my years on this planet I have never seen the ceremonial "Piping in the Haggis!" Quite impressed I was, and the food was amazing...kudos to the People who made it happen!
It was also a new friend Marilyn's birthday and a good time was had by all!

Well, who knew...2010...sure came in with a blast, didn't it...in like a Lion? Hopefully we will all feel blessed this year and walk in gratitude! I realize it is easy to say be grateful and pay it forward when sometimes we wonder why and what happens if we don't! I truly believe we have choices and even though we have our "bad hair days" things do come around and we can usually see the reason or learn lessons from daily happenings!

Well, what a day...Monday December 21st...Winter Solstice occurs as the Sun enters Capricorn at 12:47p.m....also the shortest day of the year! Go figure...it's also my BIRTHDAY...how can one enjoy martinis on a short day? Hmmm...start earlier maybe?
We have very interesting events coming up...of course Christmas and New years but...during those happenings a Full moon will arrive on New year's Eve...a BLUE moon at that...second Full moon in December...hence, blue moon! On the other side of things...good old Mercury in Retrograde visits us December 26th till January 15th 2010! I, as a Medium, feel the prescence of Angels daily...it is an interesting gift, to say the least!
When with a client I will feel people around them who have passed on...I call them Guardian Angels, not "spirit" and not "dead."
I always believe in thanking our angels for guidance..."act as if it is already there" is my way of thinking. If you have a problem or issue simply let your Angels know...do you ever wake up at 3a.m? Well, that is one of the times our Angels get our attention...it is better than on the 401 at rush hour!

I just had the wind blown out of me...have been chatting in the past months with Ted Andrews and planned to interview him on my Messengerfiles show...just received email from his publishing company Dragonhawk, that Ted passed from complications of pneumonia and cancer on October 24th 2009...you must, if you haven't already, read his book Animal Speak! I work from it almost daily with clients and on my radio shows...
Dragonhawk is revising his website and I intend to continue to keep Ted and his concept of Totem Animals etc. alive on my shows...Pay it forward!

Well, another beautiful day here on Georgian Bay...if it weren't for SO MANY people loving to ski I would selfishly say this weather could last till May 24th weekend then we can swing into summer!

This morning Bob Durant and I did a fun info blurb on "My Station" 560CFOS (my weekly Messengerfiles show is on there Mondays at 12 noon) on Friday the 13th...it was fun and so many people we found are affected by the 13th...did you know that if you are left handed(moi) 13 is your lucky number? So, left handed people of the world, get out from under the covers and let's make it a productive day! One good thing, traffic will be better as so many people do plan to stay in on this day!
The fear of #13 is called TRISKAIDEKAPHOBIA...say that three times as you carry a black cat under a ladder and throw salt over your shoulder and avoid cracks in the sidewalk!
Apparently, in the 18th century the British ship HMS Friday was launched on a Friday, the captain was a man named Jim Friday...well, guess what...the ship was never seen nor heard from again! Hmmmmmm.
In many hotels and skyscrapers there is no 13th floor and most airplanes have no seat # 13 and in Italy it is usual to leave out #13 in numbering the lottery tickets! In some big hospitals there is no operating room 13, just to spare the patients the trauma of being wheeled into Room 13. Heaven forbid if you should try to seat 13 people at a dinner table...NOT!

When did all of this happen? Beautiful colours, landscapes galore...we are so lucky to live in such a beautiful place! My brother Doug and his family visited last week from Calgary and just giving them the "tour" made me appreciate this area even more! Life 101 seems to get in our way and it takes visitors to get us out there and enjoy and smell the flowers! Take some time to go up to Irish Mountain outside of Meaford...awesome...people tell me it is like standing on a hill in Ireland! Pay it forward and take friends and family there just because!
Well, November is around the corner...big things happening...Daylight savings time, full moon, and another Friday the 13th...make all of the above work for you!

Good morning on a blustery Monday here on Georgian Bay...seems we are having a few days of this...oh well, can't complain...not snowing!
I discovered a couple of good PBS events this past week: (the flu decided to get my attention this last while so, as much as I am not a television viewer, when you can't walk, run,talk, and are forced to simply crash on the couch...tv seemed to be the easiest mode of entertainment)
Wayne Dyer, my favorite Inspirational person, had his "Excuses Be Gone" event on...check your listings, it will be on again!
Peter Paul and Mary also were on, Mary has recently passed on and it was a great tribute to their talent.
Wayne spoke about how we make excuses to not get things done...some call it sabotaging, he suggests to picture your life without excuses. What a concept eh?
During the words of wisdom from Wayne, ones where you sit back, listen and say hmmmmm, he introduced an amazing man named Dan Caro http://www.dancaro.com . Watch it...there will be no more excuses in your daily lives!
Another interesting "gotcha" comment he gave was how we go to bed and let events of the day run through our minds, most of them not the good highlights...then, as Wayne says, we let these thoughts and events "marinate" for 8 hours, we wake up and wonder why we are in such a bad mood during the day...then, guess what, the cycle begins again at bedtime! Get the book!
Well guyze...looks like time out...nasty flu bug decided to visit the "bod"...I didn't practice the "pace thyself" code!
three radio shows in one day, two weddings in one week...all fun of course, but...it got me!
All better tomorrow, up and running...I think I muttered that yesterday!

Well, today sure started off in a different way...beautiful sunrise and coffee and the sound of fire engines!
A special day for family, Mike goes to grade 12 and the tradition has been to be there each and every year at the "tree" to take pictures of kids heading to school...A.J. is now working and Jess is in college in Ottawa...Mike is here...so, picture time and then heard news of Reed's restaurant burning in town...so lucky no fatalities and a big reminder of how quickly things can change!
Let's be grateful for those special "back to school" and under the tree pictures!

"It's quarter to three, there's no one in the place except you and me!" Can't help humming it as I sit here fingers flying and mind reeling, and bonus, soon the sun will rise! My favorite television show Medium, has been picked up by CBS...check your listings for fall viewing! I don't usually follow shows that pertain to my gift as an Intutitive Medium...they have a tendency to get caught up in the "Hollywood" drama and lose their message (my opinion), but "Medium" rings true in many ways. The character, Alison DuBois, is actually a Medium in the states and has written a book...she is very active in the filming of the show! Good day...I want to share some fun things with you today!(we can all use a bit of that!) Are you easily annoyed by the antics of other drivers...and I mean easily annoyed? Well, my friends, you are more than likely born under the sign of Aries the Ram! A lead foot? lots of tickets above the visor? A Scorpio! Now that I have your attention I will show you where I am going with this... a survey on drivers(oh my, who has the time)has shown that our driving styles are affected by our birthday/sign! Aries...easily annoyed, Taurus...laid back, considerate and pleasant to others, Gemini...The twins adore their cars but are prone to fender benders, Cancer...very hot under that "crab" collar when restrictions are in their way, Leos roar the loudest...watch the road rage here, chill, Virgo...totally annoyed at fast drivers, Librans...very laid back, especially in congested areas. Scorpio...well, as stated...a collector of tickets, Sagittarians...they have a need for speed, always in a rush to get there and get things done, Capricorns...seem to need to hear themselves complain about the cost of their vehicles AND how long it took to get from point A to B, (ho hum) Aquarius...well, they are always thinking and planning so they are the most cautious, then we have Pisces...their stance is "just take your time...you will get there!" When this saying came to my attention it made me think of the past weeks and all that has gone on around us...Iran, Politics, losses, (although they are in Tinseltown,we are affected when icons leave us!) We immediately start to reflect on where we were when these people...Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson impacted our lives! Watching the numerous news clips on the how and why etc. of their lives and departure we need to remember that we are all human, have all had problems or issues in our lives and we need to be grateful and live our lives to the fullest! What will your legacy be? Work on it daily and do your best!
