How are you going to celebrate the end of 2009? Keep on reading because you will be able to search what our area restaurants are serving up this New Years eve. One of the first things you should do is mark your calendar for December 29th and take the opportunity to watch the Olympic Torch Run as it makes its way through Creemore and Collingwood. Catch the Olympic Spirit!

Dec 29th, 2009 Will be Day 61 of the OLYMPIC TORCH RELAY and the towns that will be visited are Owen Sound, Meaford, Thornbury, Blue Mountain, Collingwood, Wasaga Beach and Elmvale. For more details visit the 2010 Olympic Torch Relay Website.

The folks at East Side Mario’s are having a toy drive to help bring some happiness to kids that just don’t have it that easy this Christmas. Read More and give a gift.

Catch 22  Chef Bob has created an a la carte celebration menu for the evening featuring all of his favourite signature dishes.  Let them know if you will be ringing in the New Years at the Catch.  They are hosting a DJ to dance the night away, Hats, Horns and party favours as well as champagne at midnight. Early seatings for dinner only are available at 5:00, 5:30 and 6:00. Later seating start at 7:30, 8:00, 8:30, 9:30 and 10:00. Children are welcome at any seating.  Late seating in the lounge is reserved for those that are ringing in New Years at the Catch.

Brunello 27 on Fourth is offering a 7 course menu beginning at 7:00 p.m.  There is only the one seating and the price is $135 per person and it will include 5 different wines.  705.444.8322

Azzurra is running their regular menu as well as a fixed menu

Sisi on Main in Thornbury has a special menu with some different options.

Copper Blues is has a special menu and also more information about the party.

Rusty’s at Blue.  The countdown is on to the New Year at Rusty's. They will be kicking off the day with Zoo Park starting at 4pm.  But it`s not going to end there.  It will be business as usual until 9pm and then you can either buy a ticket for dinner or after dinner and stay for the fireworks courtesy of our Village Association!  It`s going to be a great day and a great way to start the new year!

Kaytoo.  For the fourth year in a row, it’s a theme party!  How much fun is that? 

Stayner New Years Bash
Stayners Lions Club in partnership with Burnside are presenting the Stayner New Years Bash at  the Stayner community centre, 7pm..Dinner at 8pm.  This is a 4 course meal with a cash bar.  tickets are $150.00 per couple or $600.00 for a table of 8.  Call 705-428-3303 for tickets.
