That's the theme of this year's SGB Youth Career Expo event. In an effort to further engage youth and showcase the extensive range of jobs and careers in South Georgian Bay, several community groups have once again partnered to put together another South Georgian Bay Youth Career Expo. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, May 2nd at Blue Mountain Resorts, Village Conference Centre.
80 Vendors - 800 Youth - 6 Breakout Sessions - 1 Motivational Speaker promise to make this important event a success again this year!
The event sends out invitations to public, catholic and private high schools in the SGB region. Up to eight hundred, primarily Grade 11 students are invited to attend. The organizing committee is excited to announce that this year the parents of the invited students will be welcome to attend the youth Career Expo between 1:00 and 2:00 pm.
The event's expo will showcase up to 80 regional employers, representing many different employment sectors. Target sectors include: Accounting/Finance, Advanced Manufacturing, Agriculture, Automotive Sales/Service, Aviation, Communications, Construction and Design (including skilled trades), Education, Emergency Services, Employment Resources, Engineering, Entrepreneurship, Food Service, Health and Wellness, the Military, Real Estate, Technology, Tourism, Veterinary Medicine and more. All exhibitors that hire students and volunteer organizations looking for student volunteers will also be clearly identified in the expo area.

Breakout sessions running throughout the day include a Panel of Trades Persons, Youth Entrepreneurship, Rural Ontario Medical Program/SGB Campus of Georgian College, Workplace Safety and Prevention Services, the Military and Summer Job Search/Resume Writing.

The South Georgian Bay Youth Career Expo aims to not only showcase regional employment opportunities but also to expose our youth to a host of interesting and viable career choices that will bring them back to Live, Work and Play in South Georgian Bay!
