The Georgian Bay British Car Club has over 90 members, who are dedicated to “The Preservation and Enjoyment of British Cars”. The aim of the GBBCC is to promote our knowledge and love of British cars.

Earlier this year, one of our members was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s. Unfortunately, he failed his driving test and had to sell his 1974 red MGB. The couple has now moved back to their original home town of Thunder Bay. We decided to have an auction to raise funds and give them to the Alzheimer’s Society, in honour of the Member.

On Tuesday, December 9th we auctioned a number of items at our Christmas Social which were generously donated by our members. These included a vintage car appraisal, sailing lessons, a basket of home made Christmas food, and several other items. We raised a total of $525.00.

Our members also brought a supply of non-perishable food, which was donated to the Salvation Army Food Bank.

The Club is a friendly and social gathering place for sharing our interest in driving, maintaining, and enjoying our British vehicles. We strongly encourage the participation of spouses and children (our youngest member, at six months old has already attended four club events with her parents). Club events are fun for everyone. We also participate in many local community events throughout the driving season (end April to mid October).
