During the fall season, as the cooler weather sets in and the autumn colours are at their best, Downtown Collingwood celebrates 'Harvest of the Arts', culminating during the Thanksgiving weekend.  From our Farmers' Market, live entertainment on the street, children's activities and free wagon rides to strolling and shopping our historical downtown; there is something for everyone to experience including the much anticipated second annual Art Chair auction!

Join us Saturday, October 12th from 10am - 1:00pm at the Downtown Collingwood Farmers' Market for your chance to purchase one of the much coveted Art Chairs. Silent auction bidding will begin at 10:00 am and will close at 1pm sharp - the chairs hold a minimum bid price of $50 and all chairs must be taken home and paid for (cash or cheque) at this time.

These 24 Art Chairs were painted in a marine heritage /nautical theme by local artists and have once again been the talk of the Town all summer. Chairs were created by aspiring young artists from Collingwood Collegiate to world renowned professionals living locally. They created unique art on Muskoka style chairs in a variety of marine themes - from pirates and mermaids to lighthouses, fisherman and quaint shoreline sceneries! To view each of the Art Chairs and learn more about the artists, visit or look for the Art on the Street 2013 brochures at Town Hall and throughout the downtown. If you are looking for that one of a kind, affordable piece of art that will add uniqueness to your yard or porch than this auction is a must! Don't miss out on the fun and your chance to take one (or more!) of these chairs home with you!
