As the spring bulbs push up through the earth and the apples blossoms fill the orchards near Georgian Bay, we invite you to join us for the 16th annual Blue Mountain Tour of the Arts.

This is a free, self-guided tour that runs for a weekend in both the spring and fall and features the creative talents of local artists and their guests.

This Victoria Day weekend, we look forward to opening the fabulous and varied studios, gardens and showrooms of more than 20 of the area's skilled craftspeople and artists.

Clusters of studios are located in Thornbury, Clarksburg, and a short drive south near Kimberley.  At each stop you can expect a number of different materials and styles.  There are painters, potters, metal and wood workers, photographers, glassblowers, 3 D and textile artists, and jewelry makers.  Many of these are working studio with demonstrations taking place over the weekend.  Some locations are galleries, representing many local talents.  All are filled with interesting functional, sculptural, and decorative objects - beautiful additions to your art collection or ideas for the perfect gift!

The tour becomes a starting point for locals to begin discovering or revisiting some of the studios of our area.  It's a chance to develop ongoing relationships with makers and introduce hand-made objects into our daily lives.  For those who are visitors to the Blue Mountain area, the studio tour provides a perfect introduction to some of the artistic richness we have to offer.

For further information of participating artists and studio locations, please visit our site and check our blog.  You can also follow us on Facebook. Look for the button on our website.

We also look forward to seeing you Thanksgiving weekend for our fall tour.
