Everyone has heard that water is good for you and when you’re trying to lose weight, how important drinking a lot of water is.  Check out Sarah Heiple’s Good Energy Blog as Sarah explains just how much water you should be drinking.

The much anticipated new library is set to open on Tuesday, April 6th, 2010.  The official Grand Opening will be scheduled for May.  For more information click here.

Blue Mountain Resort is excited to announce that a $2.5 million dollar project, to expand summer attractions at the resort, is underway.  Construction of the first two attractions will commence in early spring 2010 with the intention of opening in late summer 2010.  The first stage of Blue Mountain’s new attractions park will include Ontario’s only Alpine-Coaster, as well as a Mini Golf Course designed with the landscape of the escarpment in mind.

For adrenaline junkies, the Alpine-Coaster seats up to 2 people at a time and puts the rider in the driver’s seat, literally, controlling the speed and velocity at which the cart travels down the escarpment.  Prepare for an exhilarating ride with the track starting at the top of the Glades area zigzagging you down through the trees into the Village area of the resort, ending at the top of Grand Central Lodge.

With Spring around the corner and warmer temperatures, it brings with it some interesting smells.  As you drive through Sunnidale Corners on Highway 26, before you give your companion in the car a dirty look, you might want to know that the wonderful smell is the leftover cabbage from the fall harvest thawing.

A very good friend of ours, Duncan Mackinnon, sent this link from the Boston Globe.  It is a photo summary of the last 73 days of torchbearers bringing the flame closer to its final destination in Vancouver's BC Place to light the Olympic Cauldron and signal the start of the 2010 Olympic Winter Games. Check out the beauty of these pictures and enjoy being Canadian. would like to welcome our new sponsors:

At the Water Store we provide our customers with Reverse Osmosis water to refill their jugs; the cleanest and purest water produced by any filtration system. Our system is able to virtually remove all water contaminants; effectively reducing heavy metals, extracting pharmaceuticals and inorganic minerals. Chlorine and Chlorine by-products are eliminated using a self-regenerating carbon filter, leaving our water with zero impurities. Once reaching this state of purity, your drinking water can provide benefit beyond hydration, and begin cleansing your body of toxins. The advantage to refilling your jugs at the Water Store is the confidence that you are receiving the purest water at the lowest price. Customers are able to fill 18L jugs for as little as $2.30 a fill, as well as filling any other jugs they already own, no matter what size, for only .17¢ a liter. Our bottle wash station offers any customers who have left their jugs exposed to dust and dirt to be cleaned using high pressure water and injection of ozone for disinfection.  Our low cost and no jug rejection for u-fill make it easy for customers to come fill multiple jugs at once, and assistance is always available for carry outs.
