After the highly successful run of Forever Plaid, be collaborating with Orillia's Laugh Out Loud team once again for TC's final show of their summer season SAME TIME, NEXT YEAR Written by Bernard Slade and Directed by Dayna Tekatch, productions September 18th Saturday-September 28th, 161 Hurontario Street, Collingwood. Matinees and evening performances are being offered.
One of the most popular and romantic comedies of the century, Same Time, Next Year follows the love affair between Doris and George who, while married to others, rendezvous with each other once a year. Twenty-five years of manners and morals are hilariously and touchingly played out by the lovers as the changing world spins around them.
"Our goal this year was to create a season of familiarity", said Executive Director Erica Angus. "We wanted to provide professional shows that were tried and true, perhaps known to our patrons, and sure to provide great talent and entertainment. I believe we have achieved this and our final show of the summer season will not disappoint".
Starring in the role of George, BRIAN PAUL spent 2012 playing Sergeant Thunder in WarHorse at the Princess of Wales Theatre in Toronto. Brian performs across Canada and has been a company member for The Vancouver Playhouse, The Manitoba Theatre Centre, The Blyth Festival, Festival Lennoxville and The Stratford Festival. He also appears in many films and television shows. Recently Brian worked on Murdoch Mysteries, The Listener and the soon-to-be-released feature film Mr. Viral.
Alongside Brian Paul and in the role of Doris is the hilarious ROBIN CLIPSHAM. Actor, director, writer and educator, Robin has spent most of her life in theatre.
