A stroll into Just Push Play Arcade in downtown Creemore was a surprise and delight. A museum of lights, bells and blips bringing me right back down memory lane. This boutique business started off as a hobby in the basement of Michelle Zorychta’s house. She and her husband are long-time visitors to the Town of Creemore and live just south in a small hamlet called Terra Nova.

About seven years ago the couple finished their basement games room and purchased their first vintage pinball machine off e-Bay from a Collingwood resident. The hobby of purchasing slightly distressed vintage games and fixing them has morphed into a business that offers over 200 games to play on 26 machines.

Classics include the 1978 Kiss Pinball machine, Pac

Man, Space Invaders, Asteroids, Centipede, Double Dragon, Joust, Frogger and many more. They have 7 driving games, Bubble Hockey, Air Hockey and 7 pinball machines.

You can get a work out on the two player Dance Dance Revolution Super Nova 2 and they also have a 1970's juke box filled with your favourite classic rock songs and a 1964 working Coca-Cola machine complete with glass bottles.

Just Push Play Arcade is great because they have a ‘pay one price’ business model…so you can pay as little as a toonie for 10 – 15 minutes, or just $5 for a ½ hour. An all day play pass is $10 per person and $8 for kids with in and out privileges.

The facility is available for private functions (max of 40 people) or you can rent their party room for just $75 for 2 hours (max of 13 people). The party room includes an extra ½ hour for set up time, all plates, cups, napkins and cutlery. Guests supply their own food (no alcohol) or can call Life’s a Slice Pizza at 705.466.5500 and order in advance.
