Piano teacher Christine Gardhouse is extremely proud to announce that three of her students have won top honours. Maija Ferris (Collingwood), Jared Houghton (Nottawa) and Aniah Ruthven (Clarksburg) traveled this past Saturday to London, ON to attend the Conservatory Canada Convocation and Awards Ceremony and receive Medals for Excellence for 2017. These medals represent their achievement of the highest mark in Ontario for their piano examinations this past year.

 Students of Christine Gardhouse (Summit Music Centre Collingwood) Aniah received Grade 1 Classical Piano, Maija received Grade 2 Classical Piano, and Jared received Grade 5 Classical Piano. Jared was also awarded the Ann Dicker Scholarship in the amount of $250 towards future music education. Students traveled from across Canada to London to receive their provincial medals and then perform in a student showcase concert.  All three students are continuing their music lessons this year and are inspired to continue to pursue excellence in their studies.
