Celebrate the Harvest of the Arts this Thanksgiving Weekend in Collingwood’s Downtown.  Traditions begin at home... this Thanksgiving weekend there is no better place to be than Downtown Collingwood.  The businesses of the historic core are full of great ideas for fall, and continue to serve you with all your holiday and seasonal needs along with some great weekend entertainment.

There is always so much to see and do in your downtown…. but at Thanksgiving, we continue the tradition of ‘harvesting’ the arts!  From culinary, to visual and a live art auction on the street, Downtown Collingwood is where your holiday traditions begin!

Saturday, October 6 is the big day.  With the Farmers Market, the Artisan market and Free Wagon rides throughout the downtown, your day has just begun with so much more to explore and see.  There is live entertainment on the street, children’s activities and the art walk ….. something for everyone in the family.

Come watch, participate and cheer on the men folk of the community as they don high heel shoes and walk throughout our downtown to raise funds and awareness for our local Women’s shelter; My Friends House.  Registration is at 10 a.m. and the walk begins at 11... all starting at the Farmers’ Market.
This weekend is your chance to purchase one of the much coveted Muskoka Art Chairs.  Local Radio Personality Matt McLean will be auctioning off the chairs in a ‘Moving’ Art auction.  These Chairs have been the talk of the town throughout the summer, and now is your chance to have one, or more, to take home with you.  Starting at 1 p.m. in the Farmers’ Market, join in the fun as you walk to each of the five locations.

With Blue Mountain to the west of the town, the vibrant fall colours help to set the mood as the business district is decorated for the season.  It is the perfect backdrop as you arrive downtown to begin your Thanksgiving Traditions.

Throughout Collingwood Downtown celebrate the bounty of the harvest at the last Farmers’ Market of the season.  Enjoy music and activities for the family throughout the weekend, as Collingwood’s Downtown also celebrates the many other ‘harvests’ of the season , including the performing and visual arts and the culinary experience to be found in our many downtown restaurants.
