We’ve got lots to talk about in this newsletter, some exciting new blogs to plug, announcements about a wonderful lecture series by the Craigleith Heritage Depot. Find out what the BMFA is up to and information about the Youth Film Festival.

Valentine’s day is around the corner and we’ve got all the links to the resources you need to make that special person in your life feel extra special. I myself like nothing better than a homemade card, as long as it comes with good chocolate and lots of it.

This month we are pleased to introduce two new blogs to our website. MacLeod’s Musings and Weekly NSA Ski Tips.

The Blue Mountain Foundation for the Arts has announced an open call for entry for Face Off – An Exhibition of Contemporary Portraiture.

February is Black History Month @ your library and on February 3rd you can meet Karolyn Smardz Frost, author of I’ve Got A Home In Glory Land, Winner 2007 Governor General’s Award for Non-Fiction. On February 10th you can meet Janie Cooper Wilson from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.

The Craigleith Heritage Depot is hosting a lecture series that touches some very interesting topics specific to our area.

JD’s Bar & Grill is hosting Sunday Jazz Brunch every Sunday from 11:30 am to 3:00 pm with a different line-up of artists every week.

It’s time to start thinking about all the sweet hearts in your life and that 14th of February that’s looming on the horizon. We’ve got you covered at with everything from where to find the best chocolate, where to buy gift certificates for that favourite spa or hair salon and that favourite place to order flowers from.

One new discovery I made in the Village recently is Azul Jewellery Boutique where you will find a gorgeous selection of hand crafted jewellery. Lingere is always a favourite and Tingle in the Village at Blue has a beautiful selection to choose from. Lastly, don’t forget to book your reservations for that romantic dinner out.

Congratulations to Jessica on the opening of her new business Alitria Day Spa and Hair Salon in Thornbury. You can book your appointment by calling 519-599-5659 or email.
