The Blue Mountain Village Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Deb Keep to the position of Event Coordinator. "Deb's strong business background as well as her energetic contributions with a variety of community organizations makes her an excellent person to develop and guide the Foundation's events,  "said Don Braden, President of the Foundation. "We had many applications for the position and many excellent candidates but Deb stood out," stated Braden.

Deb has an MBA from Queen's University and had increasingly senior positions in several large corporations in Canada. She has also operated her own business which specialized in the consultation, preparation and management of federal and provincial grants. While she claims she is retired, for the last 10 years she has volunteered for numerous charities serving on their boards and leading their fundraising programs. This has included a major charity golf tournament as well as over 50 silent auctions.

"I am thrilled to be involved with the Foundation's work of supporting local charities. I intend to build on the outstanding legacy of the Foundation," said Keep. "My main focus now is the Foundation's annual golf tournament which will be held September 27," said Keep.

The Blue Mountain Village Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in our local communities through its financial support of charitable organizations in the areas of health, human services, education, the arts, culture, the environment and recreation. Consideration will be given to programs that impact on the youth.

Information about events and applications for funding can be obtained at the Foundation's web site.
