The Georgian Bay Titans Rugby Football Club looks forward to another successful season.  The Georgian Bay Titans Rugby Football Club is anticipating another exciting season of league rugby for both new and experienced players.

This is a great opportunity for athletes to stay in shape over the summer while playing a wonderful sport that they can enjoy for the rest of their lives.

Kirsty Stevenson, President of the Titans, expects a successful third season for the club, “Last year we drew players from throughout the Georgian Triangle. This year we are going to build upon our past success with more teams, more players and more games. We’re looking forward to another fabulous rugby season!”

Junior boys tackle rugby will be offered in several age groups: U14, U16, U18, & U20. This is the third season for the tackle rugby program which continues to be competitive in all divisions. Indoor practices are held once a week from the end of March; outdoor practices run twice a week from early May until the end of August. All outdoor practices and home games are held at Collingwood Collegiate Institute.

In addition to the established junior program, the Titans are pleased to introduce the Georgian Bay Titans/Optimists Mini Co-Ed Rugby League for players 7-12 years of age. This flag rugby program will teach young athletes the basics of rugby in a fun, non-contact environment. The league will run one night a week, Wednesday, and each night athletes will spend time learning the basic skills of the game and then practice what
they have learned in a flag rugby match.

Many thanks go to the Collingwood Optimists for their generous support in helping to establish the first Mini Flag Rugby League in the Georgian Triangle.

The Titans are recruiting players for the following teams: girls Under 15, senior women and senior men’s.

Teams will have opportunities to play home, away and exhibition games in a fun and exciting environment. They are also looking for dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to help with coaching and refereeing.

The Georgian Bay Titans first registration night and indoor practice will be held on Wednesday, March 25th at Pretty River Academy, 6:30pm. Registration and indoor practices will be held each Wednesday evening at Pretty River until early May. Once the fields are dry, teams will practice outdoors at CCI.
