The Collingwood General & Marine Hospital Foundation (CGMHF) announced today that the Annual Tree of Life Campaign during the last six weeks of 2010 was another resounding success.  Over $425,000 was contributed by very generous community donors.

Departments throughout the Hospital are benefitting from the generosity of the community through purchases of new patient care equipment and technology.

The most significant impact will be seen in the Hospital’s new Endoscopy Suite which is currently under construction and expected to open in early summer.  The suite will be totally equipped and furnished through community gifts.  Other areas benefitting from the Tree of Life Campaign include Obstetrics, Sterile Processing, Emergency and the Operating Rooms.

“Thank you to all who contributed”, says Robbie Ross, Chair of CGMHF.  “Had you not made a gift to the 2010 Tree of Life Campaign our physicians and staff would still be waiting to order these important pieces of patient care equipment because there is no government funding available for these purchases. Your gifts have provided the tools that restore health and save lives every day of the year.”
